Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 1st Le Mans 1932
At first glance this looks like a decent replication of the 1932 Le Mans winner but it much closer inspection which reveals the subtlety of Spark’s model. The overall shape looks good and the paint finish is excellent, the extended grille cowling has a neat mesh fitted into it and there are also extremely fine stone guards over the headlights. The seats and tonneau covers have a weathered and textured appearance and there is also a deliberate roughness to the exhaust and the steering wheel spokes. The bonnet straps are a leather effect material with etched buckles and etched keeps holding them in place and overall it makes a fine model.

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars.
