Renault Nervastella 2 Tone Black/Grey
|
£195.50

Heco
have a knack of finding beautiful, elegant cars to model and they
do them very well. This swoopy Renault is superbly finished,
with flawless black and silver paint highlighted with carefully applied
fine details. The presentation of the model is also excellent, with
the car sitting on a cobbled street effect wooden base and supplied
with a separate clear display base. A fine addition to any collection
of exotic pre-war machinery. |

Bugatti T57C Limousine Galibier Red. Also available HEC396G

The
style of this car is very simple and is one of the more staid bodies
to appear on a Bugatti during the 1930s, but it still makes
for an attractive model. The standard of finish is again very good
and the presentation is excellent. The red is very bright and would
certainly have turned heads at the time, while the green is much
more discrete and complements the lines of the car very well. |

Like
the Bugatti, the styling on this subject is also very understated.
The model is well finished, with a very fine grain to the evenly
applied metallic paint. Whether you choose to display these models
in the cases provided, or remove them from the bases and use as part
of a scene they will look very good. |

Is
it me or are many of these models from Alfa Model 43 all based on
very similar designs? It's a very attractive design and well balanced,
as you would expect from Bertone, and the models themselves are very
well finished. This latest edition is finished in an attractive pale
blue with contrasting dark blue interior and the paint finish and
detailing are neatly applied. |

Hmmmm, yes. Franco Sbarro strikes again! Quite what the poor unsuspecting
Ferrari 550 had done to deserve this, we don't know but as with all
of Mr Sbarro's creations it's very individual. ABC have done a good
job of capturing the car and the overall standard of finish on the
built model is not bad at all. They have chosen to model the car
as it appeared at the 2004 Geneva Motorshow but if you prefer the
kit can be built as the car appears in the Sbarro museum, which is
slightly more subtly decorated. It will certainly stand out in those
Ferrari collections, or you may well have an established Sbarro cabinet
by now! |

Ferrari 410 SA 0721SA Silver LAST STOCK. Also available
MRCLS044B - Black
|
£94.00

We're not surprised that this model was nearly sold out before it even arrived,
it's very impressive. The paintwork is excellent, with particularly neat masking
between the main silver and the dark metallic grey roof, and detailing such as
the p/e window frames is all neatly applied and the interior also looks excellent.
Our model had a slight depression in the rear wing, which is a flaw in the casting
rather than the build, but we were very much looking for faults. |

Lamborghini Espada 400GT Open Met.Blue
|
£78.75
|
|
Look
Smart's Limited edition range is numbered from just 500 pieces of
each model. This Series 1 Espada checks out very well with real
car photos and captures Lamborghini's first true four seater very
well indeed, with all of the vents, louvres and trim accurately depicted.
The paint is also very good. |

Ferrari 250GT SWB Pinin Spl60 LAST STOCK

There
have only been 500 of this one made too and of course with it having
that badge on the front, they're nearly all pre-sold. Some
of the p/e details are a little exaggerated but overall the standard
of finish is very good, with the fit of small items like the headlight
covers being particularly precise. The roof line is slightly unusual;
but a dig through the books shows that the model does capture the
one off 1960 Geneva show car pretty well. |

Pinifarina Enjoy 2003
|
£84.55
|
|
Pinifarina's
2003 'Enjoy' concept is based on a Lotus Elise chassis and offers
the potential owner a dual purpose machine. The four blended
in wheelarches are removable and it is in the lightweight 'track
day' form that the car is modelled. The shape, finish and detailing
are all very well done and it will certainly stand out in any Lotus
collection. It would be even better if the extra bodywork had been
included, but we can't have everything. |

Alfa Romeo Canguro 1964
|
£84.55
|
|
The
Canguro by Bertone was designed to show a potential racing version
of the Alfa Romeo TZ2. The model is very well finished and looks
quite like the real car, but closer examination shows a number of
discrepancies. Most obvious is that the side windows should go further
up into the roof. It is still good looking though. |

Lancia (new) Fulvia Concept 2003
|
£84.55
|
|
This one looks much more accurate and is a very good representation
of the retro concept built by Lancia on a Fiat Barchetta platform.
The styling is obviously based on the classic Fulvia coupe of the
late 1960s and early 70s and it makes for a handsome model. |
