How can I place an order?
 

The quickest and easiest way to place an order is through our online shop at www.grandprixmodels.com with it's secure ordering facilities. You will receive an automated acknowledgement of what is in stock for immediate delivery and what is out of stock for future delivery. Your credit card will only be charged for what is actually in stock and ready for despatch.

 

You may also order by email at mail@grandprixmodels.com by quoting your full name and account number. Please always remember to advise of any changes to your details, such as address, delivery address and credit card number to avoid delay in processing your order.

 

We also happily receive orders by fax to 44 (0)1295 278072 and by post to the address above.

 

And of course you can telephone us with your orders from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday on 44 (0)1295 278070.

 

What does "In Stock" mean?
 

In stock items have a green icon against them

 

This means we have the item on our shelves and ready to go. You can order it and we will send it to you.


What does "Available to order" mean?

Available to Order items have an orange icon against them

 

This means the item is out of stock but available to order by clicking on the button. An estimated delivery time will be shown next to the item but it is subject to the manufacturer having stock and sending it to us.

 

Due to the indefinite delivery schedule of back-ordered items we are unable to accept pre-payment for Available to Order items. You may still order these items by providing a valid credit card number and details and keep us updated with any changes. Your credit card account will not be charged until the item is ready for despatch to you. Back ordered items will be shipped at the price prevailing at the time of shipment. Note however that cancelled back orders may be subject to a cancellation fee.

 

What does "Future Production" mean?

Future Production items have a blue icon against them

 

These are items that have been announced by the manufacturers but have yet to be put into production. You may pre-order these items by clicking on the button. Delivery times may be very long and you will need to understand that they come when they come.

 

Due to the indefinite delivery schedule of back-ordered items we are unable to accept pre-payment for Future Production items. You may still order these items by providing a valid credit card number and details and keep us updated with any changes. Your credit card account will not be charged until the item is ready for despatch to you. Back ordered items will be shipped at the price prevailing at the time of shipment. Note however that cancelled back orders may be subject to a cancellation fee.

 

Can I cancel my order?
 

All items sold by us are guaranteed to be as advertised and to be satisfactory to you. If any item is not satisfactory, you may return it to us for exchange, credit or refund. Items may be returned to us for up to 30 days after purchase. It is not possible to return items for example if you have subsequently bought it elsewhere since ordering from us and other similar reasons.

 

We accept your orders for Available to Order and Future Production items in good faith. If you have placed an order for any of these items and then subsequently wish to cancel your order, there will be a 10% cancellation fee.

 

What if a part is missing from my kit?
 

If parts are missing please identify the missing parts by returning a copy of the instruction drawing to us with the part marked. We will then order the part from the manufacturer and send it to you as soon as possible.

 

How do I return something to you?
 

When returning an item please enclose a letter of explanation.

Pack the package carefully. We are not responsible for damage during the return shipment.

 

Please obtain proof of postage from your Post Office and if valuable you may wish to insure the package.

 

If returning an item from outside of the EU please complete the customs declaration clearly marking it with “Faulty Goods - Return to Sender” and give a zero value. We will not pay the customs and duty charges on a returned package.

 

Postal charges are only refundable on a defective merchandise return.

 

How can I pay for my order?
 

Most people pay for their order by credit card. We do not charge your card until the order is despatched.

 

In addition we accept UK sterling cheques, postal orders and bank drafts made payable to Grand Prix Models Limited.

 

We will accept US Dollar and Euro cheques but they must be a minimum of 250 US Dollars or 200 Euros. These will be credited to your account at the prevailing Sterling rate less any bank charges we may incur.

What are your delivery times and charges?
 

Subject to the items you have ordered being in stock your order will be processed quickly and despatched as soon as it is packed.

 

Items that are not in stock will be despatched when they arrive with us from the manufacturer. This can sometimes be 2-3 weeks from date of order to 8-12 weeks or longer for others subject to the manufacturer having the items in stock.

 

Most UK items are sent by 2nd Class Royal Mail which can take 4-7 days to arrive, although the Royal Mail have 28 working days to deliver 2nd class items. 1st Class and Recorded Delivery services are available on request and charges will be adjusted accordingly.

 

For the EU and Rest of the World items are sent Packet or Parcel Post and take 7-10 days on average, although the Royal Mail have 28 working days to deliver items. Registered Mail is available at an additional charge of £4.25 per shipment.

 

For some countries Registered Mail is our standard service and an additional £4.25 is charged per shipment. The countries that are always sent by Registered Mail are: Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Belarus, Russia, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Mexico, Philippines, China, Saudi Arabia and Poland.

Occasionally there are delays with the postal services which are beyond our control.

 

Due to continuing problems with the postal service in South Africa please contact us before placing an order to check we can send to you.

 

What if my order does not arrive?
 

All items sold by us are guaranteed. Please notify us if an order does not arrive within a reasonable time of despatch. We will be able to start a Lost Package query with the Royal Mail only after 28 working days from the date of despatch.

 

We will re-order the lost items and send them to you as quickly as possible.

 

 

How do your prices work?
 

All prices are subject to change without notice. We will always give you the lowest price possible at the time your order is shipped. If a price has risen more than 10% from the date of order we will inform you first and give you the option to cancel at no charge.

 

All charges are made in GPB. All £ prices shown include VAT (UK Sales Tax) @ 17.5% (except books) which are VAT exempt. All charges are made in GBP.

 

Prices shown in Euros are for guidance only and include VAT (UK Sales Tax).

 

Prices shown in US Dollars are for guidance only and do not include VAT (UK Sales Tax).

 

Estimated Prices are based upon information given to us by the manufacturer at the time of announcement. These prices may vary upon delivery. If a price has risen more than 10% from the date of order we will inform you first and give you the option to cancel at no charge.

What about export prices?
 

If you are having models delivered to an address outside of the EU you do not of course have to pay the VAT (UK Sales Tax) - please therefore deduct 14.89% from the GBP or Euro price shown on our listings. The US Dollar prices displayed already have the VAT (UK Sales Tax) deducted.

 

There is no sales tax [VAT] charged on books whether in the UK, EU or Rest of World.
